Henry Dane was an Australian engineer who invented the electric system for the trains from Sydney.
Dane was born en Calpham in March 26th, 1847, England, his father was Henry Dane. He was a member of the London´s Linneana Society. He graduated in 1865 from the Ireland´s Queen University with honors in Math's and Sciences. He also studied engineering for two years at King´s College in London.
He worked in the Sir Jhon Flower´s factory for two years, he god a job at the train station in Hungary, and from 1871 to 1873 he became Technical Chief in the Danube Steam Navigation Company's deck in Altofen, Hungary. He arrived to Australia by the end of 1879. He entered to the New South Wales's Train Department in 1880. And he became Chief in 1890. In 1894, Henry Dane realized a world trip promoting the light trains and travails. When he went back to Australia he became leader in the Sydney's Trains system´s Construction. He died in March 12th, 1924.
